In May of 1969, a small group of people got together to form the Free State Corvette Club, an organization that would serve their common interests, the CHEVROLET CORVETTE. Today FSCC has about 200 members. We come from all walks of life, and towns all over Maryland and West Virginia. Our members’ cars range from all model years, from the mint, pristine condition to Vettes driven everyday with lots of “experience.”

"Ocean City Weekend"…where it all began. The Activities Director at the time organized a weekend in OC and talked hotel management at the Flagship to let members have a crab feast around the pool. They also went to the go-cart track right over the Rte. 50 bridge. It became an annual event after that & eventually grew into the car show & fundraiser we have today!

Check out the Free State Corvette Club's Gazette from 1978! In many regards the club has changed very little in 33 years. Get a chuckle when you see the treasurer's report showing they collected $16 for the 50:50!
